Case Studies

Laboratoire Réunis is a group of medical laboratories linked with more than 50 medical centers for blood sampling.

Includes 9 biologists and some 80 collaborators in total, laboratoire Réunis has an independent structure belonging and managed exclusively by biologists.

Nurses

Challenge

With more than 50 centers to collect blood sampling, there is a substantial amount of data to be delivered to the main server of the company to be processed on a daily basis. Initially, the nurses taking care of taking blood tests and collecting the data of the patients (national id. and type of test) were to take hand notes and patients forms to the lab at the end of each day. Moreover, their salary and bonuses are directly linked to the amount of patients they see.

The client had in mind to automate some of these tasks, reduce the time of the patients visits, improve traceability and remove the intermediary steps between data collection and server processes.

Solution
Login

The company personal has access to the app through their stores (google play, apple play) and with their credentials distributed from the management. They will need a special link for the Apple Store as the app is registered as private. The application sends a request directly to the company server to check and authenticate the user. As the client requested, the user's phone save his login information to directly land on the main page of the application the next time.

Features

Once the nurse has entered the app, she can enter the data by scanning the id barcode and an extra barcode for the test reference given by the management. They are to send this information to the server once it is completed. If there are internet connection problems, the information is saved to be sent later on. The next tab is simply a list of links to access pages of their website and the history of their visits of the month.

Data reception

The data is sent directly to the laboratory server as they have their own developers and IT department. During the development of this project, there was a lot of communication between us to optimize and set up everything needed. If it was not the case, the app would be set to send the information to a decentralized server the client already uses or not.

Couriers

Challenge

With more than 50 medical centers linked to their laboratory, collecting blood sampling and providing materials to doctors have to be well organized. Mistakes are not allowed. Sometimes, modifications have to be made in real time and the advantage of receiving data of what is collected and sending information about what is to be collected or deposited is huge.

Another very important feature for the company was to receive the drivers localization every 30 seconds so they always know where they currently are and can modify their itinary optimizing their time whenever they want.

In a few words, the client needed an application that shows precisely where the courier should go, optimizing their time with the best itinary and providing ways to communicate what i being collected directly with the main laboratory.

Solution
Login

In this specific case, each courier has access to the app through android phones that the company keeps. They still have to login with their own credentials distributed from the management. The application sends a request directly to the company server to check and authenticate the user.

Features

Once the couriers are inside the app, he chooses one of the possible itinary which he isattributed to from the managment. From there, the phone displays a list of medical centers or independent organism where he has to go for picking up samples or depositing materials. The list is displayed in the order in which the courier should proceed. This is done in the backend, on the server side and can be modified anytime.

The laboratory has a color code communicating whether the courier has materials to drop or not, wether it is already confirmed the center has samples to send or if it has to be validated.

As the courier reach the medical center, he either choos to scan QR code of package he has to drops or the ones he has to take back to the lab. This is directly sent to the server. In the case where connection is not so good, the data is saved to be sent later on.

Data reception

The data is sent directly to the laboratory server as they have their own developers and IT department. During the development of this project, there was a lot of communication between us to optimize and set up everything needed. If they did not have such department, the app would be set to send the information to a decentralized server the client already uses or not, delivering the expected result to them seamlessly.
